Do we have to book and pay online?
Whilst we do accept online bookings and payments for all our courses, we also know that not everyone has access to a credit card. Therefore we have provided a downloadable registration form, which is available from our main training page. Simply choose the course that you are interested in - our training programme is available online, fill in the form and fax it to us on 08 9335 2544 and we will do the rest.

IEA's offices are in the same building as the SKG Group and are located between the Parry Street and Ord Street interchanges. We are also very close to the Old Fremantle Prison.
Where are courses held?
All training courses (unless specified otherwise) are held in IEA's own training room. We are located at:

Do you send confirmation letters?
Confirmation letters, location details and any specific training requirements will be mailed to you approximately 10 days before the course is due to commence.
Is parking available at the venue?
Parking is not available behind IEA's offices. We are based in the same building as several medical practices and parking is required for patients. However, there are a number of car parks in close proximity. The cheapest option for all day parking is in the Point Street Car Park ($4 per day) which is close to the Woolstores shopping centre. A map is available on this web site. If you would prefer to catch public transport, we are approximately a 5 minute walk away from the train station. Our offices are also close to the many regular bus routes, including the Fremantle Cat.
Can we pay on the day?
Payment for courses held at IEA's premises can be made on the day. We accept credit card (Visa and Mastercard), Cheques (Please make payable to Information Enterprises Australia) or Cash. A receipt will be provided.
What do the course fees cover?
Courses fees cover all course materials and handouts. Refreshments on arrival and morning and afternoon teas are also provided. Please advise if you have any special dietary requirements at the time of booking. Lunches are not usually catered, however IEA does provide a refrigerator and microwave oven if you would like to bring your own lunch. Alternatively we are a short walk away from the centre of Fremantle and the “cappuccino strip”. We do allow enough time for you to have a walk and get something to eat during the lunch break.
Do we get a certificate of attendance?
Yes you do. Certificates are signed by the Director of Information Enterprises Australia, or delegate on the completion of a course. These may be used as evidence of continuing professional development. IEA is a CPD Training Partner with the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
Are IEA's courses eligible for CPD Hours?
Every course that IEA offers is eligible for CPD hours. Please see the individual course details for more information.
Do you provide lunch?
Lunches are not usually catered, however IEA does provide a refrigerator and microwave oven for you to use. If you would prefer to eat out, we are a short walk away from the centre of Fremantle and the “cappuccino strip”. We do allow enough time for you to have a walk and get something to eat during the lunch break.
What happens if you have to postpone a course?
IEA reserves the right to postpone a training course if the minimum number of participants has not been reached or if faced with unforseen circumstances. If any participants are registered they will be transferred to the next available course date and IEA will notify the organisation's contact. If the substitute date is not acceptable, a full refund will be provided.
Can substitutions be made?
Substitutes may attend if the participant registered cannot attend the course. Please contact training services on (08) 9335 2533 or email training@iea.com.au
If I cancel can I get a full refund?
Refunds will be given if notification of non-attendance is provided more than 5 working days in advance of the training course being run. No refunds will be offered if cancellations are received less than 5 working days prior to the course date.
Do we get a discount?
A 10% discount is available for all registrants of IEA's employment services and current members of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), please note membership numbers are required at the time of booking. Additional discounts may be available on some courses. Please check course details for more information.
Can courses be delivered in-house?
Many of IEA's courses can be customised and delivered in-house. Please contact IEA’s offices on (08) 9335 2533 for more information and to discuss your specific training requirements.
