Employment

Information Enterprises Australia Pty Ltd (IEA) is a registered employment and recruitment agency specialising in the Library and Information Management Sector. Providing fixed-term contract and permanent employment opportunities for library, information management and records management personnel.

Registering for employment opportunities:
Registering with the agency is simple. You can either fill in the online form, attach the relevant documents (CV or resume) to your online form and submit. Or you can download a form and send this via normal mail to us. Once we have received your registration form we will contact you to arrange for you to come in to see us. This gives us an opportunity to discuss your employment requirements in more detail. Whilst you are here, we will ask you to sit through an Occupational Health and Safety Induction. We cannot be with you while you are working on contract with a host employer, but we can ensure that you are aware of the safety and health issues that you may face during your placement.

We have tried to answer as many questions as we can in our FAQ's pages, but if you would like to speak to a member of the recruitment team, please contact our offices on 08 9335 2533 or email: employment@iea.com.au

About IEA's Employment and Recuitment Policies:
IEA is an Associate member of the Recruitment & Consulting Services Association (RCSA) and has gained Quality Accreditation through Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) to ISO 9001:2000.

What does this mean to you?
All our processes and procedures are tried and tested to ensure that they meet the rigorous standards of our industry. The benefits you receive are many:

Ethics:
. We do not disclose any personal information to clients without permission, and only where it is absolutely necessary.
. You are never put forward for work that you do not know about and have agreed to be considered for. You have the right to say no to any and all work opportunities that do not meet your current circumstances and requirements.
. Once placed by IEA you will not be head hunted for another position by our organisation.
. We are both sympathetic and supportive of your personal requirements for work.
. For those of you who are studying or have family or other work commitments, we will endeavour to find you work that meets your current availability.

Mentoring:
Professional and Personal Development are extremely important to us. If you would like advice on the structure of your CV or how to address selection criteria, we will offer sound and constructive advice to help you get the best out of your application. If this sounds like we are trying to get rid of you, we are not. However, we do know that we cannot compete with the all important full time job, and if we can help you achieve that goal then we will do so.

We will occasionally ask you to step outside of your comfort zone and undertake work that you may not feel comfortable or equipped to do. We see qualities and skills in our registrants that you yourself may not be aware of. Professional development and growth are important, but we do not expect you to do it alone. Because of the corporate teams own experiences and skills in the library and records management fields, we are able to offer support and advice to you in the work place.
