Issue 110 - Document Control

As you know, the start of every new year is a good time to look at what you want to achieve during the year.  It is also a good time to schedule in reviews with your supervisors to see what new projects are coming up and what new skills you will need in order to participate in them. Please note, this applies to everyone, regardless of where you happen to be on the corporate ladder. The higher up the ladder you are, in fact the more important it becomes. Those who work in the corporate sector should be part of the management decision making teams. How can you be pro-active with the services you provide, and the skills sets of the people who work for you, if you don’t know what projects or areas the organisation is moving into in the next 12 – 18 months, and better still the next 5 years as it can take that long to obtain the necessary qualifications.

There is a caveat of course…

Unless you are happy doing the same things in the same way and getting your attendance allowance of course! But assuming you are serious about personal and professional development, this review is essential.

As Alain de Botton stated recently “Anyone who isn't embarrassed of who they were last year probably isn't learning enough.”

With all that said:

We are often asked if we run training courses on document control to which we have always said, unfortunately not. However, we now know of an organisation which does run them 

If you are interested in taking this Certificate III course in Document Control, please contact Deborah Wilson of Nexadyne directly (contact details at the end of the e-zine). Apologies if you received this message directly, we just thought some of you may not be on the list servs and will have missed this exciting news.

And don’t forget to update your CV when you have enrolled, and again when you have completed the course. This is a great habit to get into as you never know when that perfect job may come along, and it pays to be ready 
